New website in progress

After nearly 4 years as an independent business consultancy and 2009 probably being one of the most challenging years in business history we thought it time to create a new website. One that would better reflect what it is that we can do for our customers.

When you do this you sit down and have a look at other websites in the same line of business as you, some of them are really good, interesting and some are nothing more than a business card with a couple of pictures and a contact us page.

Planning and deciding what you want to look like to “the World” is actually a really useful and searching thing to do. I use the “the World” because as it turns out potentially “the world” really is your oyster! Sometimes it’s some not so interesting Spam!

But more interestingly the really exciting thing has been that people in business different parts of the world have been getting in touch and asking us to help them face ”the world”. We have of course been delighted to do so. It is not that we haven’t already been working in other parts of the world it is just how much the marketplace has become so accessible globally.

With good optimisation and some thought you can move your positioning in the “Google search” to be at the top in your field, you can make that search success as local, national, or global firstly as YOU want it to be, but also pick up all the services and products that you want businesses to know that you can do? Don’t forget that inviting people’s confidence has to be backed up by “what you CAN do!”

The difficult bit is being concise so perhaps its time stop my blog for now but the key message is, recognise your business potential, do not over promise and under deliver, do the job well, on time and on budget.
